CHEZA NAMI KIDS LOGO

A Logo Adaptation

The Cheza Nami team was really eager to create a logo for a prospective area of their website that would be dedicated to kids. I was tasked with incorporating characters from a comic strip developed for Cheza Nami. I started with their established logo as a basis for my design in order to keep their brand guidelines similar but now appeal to their youthful audience. I wanted to keep their forms simple but recognizable and I tried to leave in just enough detail so that the logo would still look good at a smaller size. The colors I used in it’s design are a little brighter to appeal to younger visitors to the website. I also played around with the position of the text in order to keep the design tight but still fun.

These are early versions of the Cheza Nami Kids logo. After I got the logo icon down, I played around with color and text placement. I really wanted the eye to travel from the familiar hut logo to the faces of the characters then end on the text. I also played around with different color variations but after conferring with the Cheza Nami team, we decided it would be best to keep the logo orange and brown to stay on brand but I lighten and brighten them up a bit to appeal toward younger eyes.
