CHEZA NAMI TASTE OF AFRICA
Event materials for their Annual Event
The Cheza Nami Foundation’s Taste of Africa event is a lively annual celebration of African culture that is open to the Livermore community. The event showcased food, arts and craft and performances and offered attendees hands-on experiences with African culture. Warm colors and a polished overall aesthetic were key elements to the design of these materials for the event since it wasn’t just for local families but also business sponsors and raised funds for many of their programs that Cheza Nami provided throughout the year. I tried to carry that sense of sophistication into the bid sheet, menu, and brochure, pictured here. I worked closely with Cheza Nami’s to create materials they had envisioned and helped make their event successful.
The image in the background was a traditional African bracelet. Create a simple composition that included the given image along with all of the information that needed to be included with each individual element. Simple and clean layout and font and color were the easiest elements to transfer from the event pamphlet, menu and bid sheet as well as two posters, name tags and a web banner for the event in order to keep all of the materials on brand.
